EVENTS
City Future has a history of high-quality events with senior politicians and City executives.
Our events have been instrumental in helping politicians communicate policy to large audiences from the City, including those that have not had the opportunity to hear their views on key issues facing the economy.
These also included numerous policy focused events throughout the year. A particular focus of our efforts has been to reach out to new groups across the City to encourage a diverse and balanced membership, and broader support for our events.
Our intention is to recommence in person events following the guidance of the Government on COVID-19 pandemic.
The Rt Hon Dr Liam Fox MP
In September 2012, Liam is MP for Somerset North and served as Secretary of State for International Trade from 2016 to 2019 and Secretary of State for Defence from 2010 to 2011. He spoke at a House of Commons event on the relevance of security in a global economy.
Sir John Major
In December 2009, Sir John entertained a gathering of over two hundred people at Travers Smith. He discussed life in and after Number 10, the lessons he had learned and his hopes for the Conservative Party at the general election.
Lord Moylan and Brian Cooke
In July 2021, Lord Moylan and Brian Cooke discussed the future of the City of London's transport network, Transport for London and the role it can play in a COVID-19 recovery for the City.
