Elections

An important aspect of City Future is to support the Party in attaining election success. In the 2010 General Election, City Future campaigned in over fifteen constituencies. We encouraged members’ involvement in key marginal seats, and were active at GenEVA.

We were also highly active during the Mayoral elections in London and have provided crowd support for key election events such as the campaign and manifesto launches.

Finally a key element of our work has been to support the Party’s fundraising efforts whether by acting as a conduit to donor groups or through direct fundraising events.

As a result of our efforts, our committee alumni have gone on to play important roles in politics, standing for office as PPCs and working in key positions in both policy and political strategy for the Party.

City Future has a long history of producing candidates for General Elections. In 2015, there are four City Future committee alumni who are running for the Conservative Party in the upcoming election. These candidates demonstrate the leadership qualities inherent in our membership base.
